Renovation Policy

The Unit Owner is responsible for informing and ensuring that their contractors comply with all Building Rules including these Construction Rules and Regulations. Any questions regarding these Construction and Renovation Guidelines may be directed to the Marlborough Board of Directors. All work performed must be to code and performed by licensed and insured tradespeople.

Unit Owners must refer to and act in accordance with the provisions of the Declaration prior to undertaking any construction activity.

Any Unit Owner who makes any approved improvements, alterations and/or additions to within his/her unit shall be responsible for any damage to other Units, the common elements, and/or the limited common elements as a result of such improvements, alterations and/or additions.

Hours for resident construction, remodeling or otherwise noise-producing work, excluding emergency repairs, is restricted to the Noise Ordinance established  by the City of Portland,  for a duration consistent with industry standards, and in a manner that will not unreasonably disturb the Residents.
